A Journey With A Hope won the festivals best human rights film. This is an exciting recognition as it highlights the significance of period shaming in relation to human rights.

Winning this award in Canada reinforces the global relevance of Jackline's story and the issues it highlights; that this isn’t something limited to Kenya alone.
